Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the LOKI application operated by Category Two LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LOKI, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.

2. IMPORTANT: LOKI IS NOT A VETERINARY SERVICE

Human Decision Boundary (HDB)

LOKI operates within a strict Human Decision Boundary. This means:

• LOKI informs but never diagnoses
• LOKI recommends but you decide
• LOKI assists but never replaces your veterinarian
• All medical decisions must be made by you in consultation with a licensed veterinarian

You should ALWAYS consult a licensed veterinarian for:

• Any medical diagnosis
• Treatment decisions
• Medication changes
• Emergency situations
• Any concerns about your pet's health

LOKI may suggest when veterinary attention is advisable, but these suggestions do not constitute medical advice. In any emergency, contact your veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately.

3. Description of Service

LOKI is an AI-powered care partner that helps pet parents:

• Track daily health observations
• Identify patterns in their pet's health data
• Manage medications and schedules
• Organize veterinary records
• Communicate more effectively with their veterinarian

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring that information you provide is accurate and current
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for extended periods.

5. Subscription and Payment

LOKI offers free and paid subscription tiers. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app. Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to LOKI (photos, notes, health data). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, store, and process this content to provide and improve the service.

You agree not to submit content that:

• Violates any law
• Infringes on others' rights
• Contains malicious code
• Is false or misleading

7. How LOKI Learns — Anonymized Data Usage

LOKI improves over time by learning from anonymized, aggregated patterns across all users. This helps us build better pattern detection, earlier anomaly alerts, and more accurate health insights for every pet.

What we use

• Anonymized health check-in patterns (e.g., appetite trends across breeds)
• Aggregated symptom correlations (e.g., which symptom combinations most often precede vet visits)
• De-identified photo analysis patterns (e.g., what visual changes correlate with health issues)
• General usage patterns to improve the product experience

What we never use

• Your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
• Your pet's name or any details that could identify a specific pet
• Your conversations with LOKI
• Your photos in their original form
• Any data linked back to your account

All anonymization is performed before any data leaves your account context. The anonymized data cannot be reversed or re-identified. You can opt out of anonymized data contribution at any time in your account settings — LOKI will work exactly the same either way.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use LOKI for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with other users' use of the service
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use LOKI for commercial purposes without authorization
• Misrepresent LOKI's outputs as professional veterinary advice

9. Intellectual Property

The LOKI service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by Category Two LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Category Two LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of LOKI
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Any claim that your reliance on LOKI caused harm

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use LOKI ceases immediately. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of LOKI shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
