One Month. One Promise

A Painting of Loki
A Painting of Loki

Today is one month without Loki.

I painted him a couple of weeks ago. Sat there for hours. I haven't figured out where to hang it yet. Still trying to find a spot where it won't hurt to look at him. That's grief. It doesn't leave. It just keeps changing shape.

The Promise

A month ago, I wrote about the systems that failed Loki. The diagnostics that never found an answer. The medications that weren't coordinated. The 14 months where I became his primary care provider armed with nothing but an AI chatbot and stubbornness.

At the end of that post, I asked: What would it take for no pet parent to feel this alone?

I've spent every day since then answering that question.

Where We Are

As of today — his day — LOKI is submitted to the Apple App Store and Google Play. We're in the final steps of review.

I wanted it to be today. Not next week. Not "when it's ready." Today. Because one month felt like the right moment for a promise to become something real.

Here's what's in it:

Daily check-ins that take 30 seconds. Mood, appetite, energy, weight. Designed to be done standing in the kitchen, coffee in hand.

An AI that actually knows your pet. Not a generic chatbot. LOKI knows their conditions, medications, and history. When you ask "should I be worried?", it has real context to draw from.

Medication intelligence that flags drug interactions. Because I learned the hard way that a vet can prescribe something that should never have been crushed and fed through a feeding tube — and no one caught it except me and Claude.

Visual health tracking. Upload photos and LOKI tracks changes over time. The kind of gradual shifts you don't notice until it's too late.

A food safety scanner. Because no one should have to panic-Google whether something is toxic while their dog stares at them.

Vet reports in one tap. Walk into the appointment prepared instead of trying to remember what happened last week.

What It's Not

LOKI doesn't replace your vet. The vets who treated Loki were wonderful, well-meaning doctors. The system failed not because of bad people but because of bad gaps — the 99% of your pet's health that happens at home, between visits, where no one is watching except you.

LOKI fills those gaps.

Founding Members

When the app is live, we're opening 50 Founding Member spots.

A discounted first year. Then a locked annual rate — forever. Even when prices go up, yours won't. The people who believe in this before anyone else should be rewarded for it.

If you've been through what I've been through — or if you just want to be the kind of pet parent who catches things early — this is for you.

What's Coming

This is the foundation. What's next:

Pattern detection that learns YOUR pet's baseline — not generic thresholds — and alerts you when something shifts.

Email intelligence that automatically pulls health data from your vet's emails so you don't have to enter it manually.

Wearable integration to feed continuous data into LOKI's brain.

And eventually, hardware built for pet parents who actually need it. Not gadgets. Tools.

One month, buddy. The promise is becoming real.
